Academic Assistance for Students

BMS strives to ensure students have the support they need to be successful at school. After-school Homework Help and weekly Schoology reports sent home are two ways we help students meet their academic expectations. BMS also maintains a list of tutors that families can contact for additional help. Families should always feel welcome to reach out to teachers with concerns about their student's progress. We also encourage you to familiarize yourself with our Habits of a Scholar and Growth Mindset philosophies so you can best help your student persevere and overcome challenges.

Schoology Report

Every week, families receive a Schoology report emailed home that lets families know whether students have missing or late work. Missing or late work can impact sports eligibility and academic award eligibility.

If you find missing/late work, we encourage you to:

1. Log in to Schoology with your child to identify what work is missing or late.

2. Encourage your student to contact their teachers.

3. Contact a teacher directly if your student can't resolve the issue.

4. Contact BMS administration if you do not hear back from a teacher.
