Homework Help (M,T,W,Th)
Homework Help is offered after school by teachers for all grades. For students regularly on the Missing Work list, Homework Help is mandatory. All other students are welcome and encouraged to attend as needed. For more information on Homework help, click here

Access After School (M, T, TH): Second Shift
Access After School offers a range of Second Shift after-school classes on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Visit their website or call the front office for details. 


Early Release Enrichment Wednesdays (W only)
BMS offers limited early release Enrichment Wednesday classes from 1:45-3:15 pm on Wednesdays. Contact the front office for details. If you're interested in running a Homework Help session on Wednesdays, contact Principal Ellsperman, 384-5901.

Local After-School Options
Roaring Fork Leadership Camp (Fall)
Girls learn valuable social and emotional skills in a fun, safe environment. For Grades 5/6 at BMS on Wednesdays. Register by Sept. 11. All the details are at

Middle School Tennis Players Class: (Fall) Ages 11 -14 Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3:30-5:00. Oct. 3 - Oct. 26 Cost: $40.00. This class will work on serve, forehand/backhand, and volley. This session is geared to all level of players and bringing players up to an intermediate tennis level with lots of court drill work. Limited to 10 players, so we can really work on fundamentals. Girls on the Run (Fall)
If your girl likes to run, sign her up for this awesome program. 5th graders will run with BES, 6-8th graders run with BMS. The first meeting is Sept. 12 at 3:30 pm in Ms. Everette's room. Register here:

Aspen Music Festival and School After- School Classes (Fall)
If your middle schooler loves music, the Aspen Music Festival & School offers after-school classes in strings, lead guitar and choir. Deadline to apply is Oct. 6.

Roaring Fork Cycling Mountain Bike Club (Fall & Spring)
This free club meets after school starting Sept. 13. Students will meet in front of BMS at 2pm on Wednesdays and local coaches will take them for rides that finish at 4:30pm. On Fridays, coaches will take students out for longer rides from 3:30-6pm. Teachers and parents are welcome to join. A permission slip is necessary, as is a bike and helmet. Contact Ms. Miller or Mrs. Ellsperman for details.

Basalt Cheerleading (Fall & Winter)
Cheerleaders cheer for football, basketball, and wrestling. There will be an end of the year showcase in May. It is important your son or daughter is committed to the team for the full season. BRL offers a variety of programming options and a safe place for student to head after school to complete homework, use computers, or participate in free fun activities.
