Library Media Center

The Library Media Center is the heart and soul of Basalt Middle School. The shelves are stacked with a broad selection of fiction and non-fiction books, which can capture the interest of even the most reticent adolescent reader. Our library is a launching point to build student technological literacy. The room is open before school, at lunch, and after school for students seeking a great book, a quiet place to study, or access to technology.  The Library is also home base to important programs such as the Reading Buddies program, which always seeks adult volunteers, and the 5th and 6th Grade Reading Challenges.
