Character Day @ BMS Recap
On September 22, Basalt Middle School joined 81,000 groups in 21 countries to celebrate the third annual Character Day, a global initiative to discuss the importance of developing character strengths, such as those in our Habits of a Scholar program. BMS students viewed the video The Science of Character and discussed various character strengths. Then Crew classes school-wide were be divided into Color Bands and had a special school assembly.
Throughout the year, Color Bands will compete for the right to dress our Longhorn stuffed animal in the color of the winning team and also for the ultimate prize of The Longhorn Color Cup, which will be decorated by the winning team and displayed the following year.
