Mrs. Donnelly was born in Louisiana and grew up in a culturally rich and diverse community. After receiving her undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, she earned a master’s degree in architecture in 2008. Through her work with the Office of Community Design and Development, Ms. Donnelly helped design and build homes for the Lower 9th Ward in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina. Her passion for assisting others grew stronger and led her to pursued a teaching license from the Louisiana Resource Center for Educators. She began her teaching career in the Louisiana public school system and has been a middle school math and English language arts educator there for six years. Working as an educator has combined her passions for serving those in her community and instilling a love of learning through education. Mrs. Donnelly recently moved to Colorado with her husband, two daughters, and dog. A love of the outdoors and a desire to create meaningful experiences for her daughters brought her family to the Roaring Fork Valley. When she’s not teaching, Sarah can be found hiking with her family, reading a good book, or planning amazing adventures in this beautiful state.
