With the help of a parent in a local book club, we are fundraising to send books to the 2 Oklahoma schools that were destroyed. If anyone is part of a bookclub who wants to participate, pass this email on and let me know. Thanks.

On Monday, May 20, 2013 a massive tornado up to 2 miles wide and with wind speeds over 200 miles an hour hit Oklahoma City. Two elementary schools were destroyed. The BMS Library is partnering with several local book clubs who are also donating to the cause, to raise money to help replace books for students in these two elementary schools.
So, we are doing a PENNY WARS FUNDRAISER until the end of the school year.
Here's how it works:
- The grade level with the most points wins a popsicle party the last day of school.
- Pennies count as PLUS one point
- Silver coins and paper money (including checks made out to BMS) count as points AGAINST that team. For example, a nickel is minus 5 points, a dime is minus 10 points, a quarter is minus 25 points, a dollar is minus 100 points, and so on.
- You can add pennies to your OWN grade levelís jar to ADD points for your grade, and add other coins to OTHER grade level jars to SUBTRACT points from that grade levelís jar.
-This is competitive so bring in all your change to raise money for a great cause and to try to win a class party.
THE JARS ARE LOCATED IN THE OFFICE
Let's see if your grade level can win and if our school can raise more money than the $120 already pledged by the local book club members.
